The weather is starting to turn, and I'm starting to feel a little bit sad. I'll miss the days of studying down by the lake. reading magazines actually, let's be honest here, I don't do THAT much studying At least the autumn colours are so pretty, I really enjoy looking at those.

My mother sent a few things I had forgotten to pack when I was getting my school things together. Two pairs of gray stockings. A few of my older Transfiguration packets of notes, she figured I'd want those for NEWTS. And my turquoise leopard print cardigan jumper. I like it with my black dress. Maybe wear that to the next Hogsmeade. I just hate forgetting things. She is much better with keeping the little details straight.
It's still so nice out, usually the weather is starting to turn cool and rainy at this point of the year. Not that there is anything wrong with the rain, sometimes it's rather quite nice. Usually when you have reading to do, and don't want to be tempted into staring out the window, or finding an excuse to go out doors. I've been taking my books and sitting by the lake. At times I do my find my self slightly distracted, but it's too nice not to take advantage of this weather. I'll certainly miss it once it's gone, and we start going into winter.
My mum thinks Rome could be a nice family vacation for the Yule holiday. I think she might be on to something. The weather is nice, the food is good, and my da is really stressed and could use some time off. If he can get it of course.

I grew out my fringe again. And I'm dark. So that is the biggest change in my life, and it's not exactly a terribly exciting one at that. Pansy thinks it look better like this, and my old hair cut made me look younger. It did, and I think a bit chipmunk cheeked, and too many bows or barrettes. So yeah, there it is. If I'm not bored with my hair, then I'm probably not doing something right.
More people should take herbology. It's lovely, and relaxing, and I love gardening. My mum has a huge garden back home, and she always lets me help her out. I'm probably even better than she is now. I'm completely and utterly proud of that. Her hydrangeas look really posh this year, she grew white and pink. We always had fresh flowers on the table. Fresh flowers can make anything feel more polished. Just pointing that out to everyone.
I'm so tired, there has been so much homework. It's totally killing my spirit.
